Andrew Chapel is collecting UMCOR Kits for the VAUMC Annual Conference held in Roanoke this June. Relief supplies provide care for the most vulnerable following a disaster or during times of crisis.

Kits should be assembled at home and brought to the church no later than Sunday, June 4th. Please place kits in blue bins under the coat rack outside of the sanctuary. We will then deliver all kits to the district office where the Annual Conference team will pick them up and send them to Mission Central in Mechanicsburg, PA, which serves as one of UMCOR’s Supply Depot.

We will be collecting any of the three official UMCOR Relief Kits. A list of contents and instructions on how to assemble the kits can be found below.
• Hygiene Kit
• Cleaning Kit
• Menstrual Kit

UMCOR asks for $1 per Menstrual Kit and $3 per Cleaning Kit to cover shipping and $2 per Hygiene Kit for toothpaste and shipping. For kits prepared and donated by ACUMC members, missions will cover the $1—$3 shipping donations.

If you prefer to make a financial contribution to enable UMCOR to purchase relief kits on our behalf, you can contribute $75 for each Cleaning Kit; $12 for each Hygiene Kit; or $24 for each Menstrual Kit. Make checks out to Andrew Chapel UMC and mark UMCOR Kit in the memo line.
