Lent at Andrew Chapel

Ash Wednesday

The season of Lent begins with Ash Wednesday which falls on February 22 this year. We have two opportunities for you to receive a blessing and the imposition of ashes to carry with you throughout this season of reflection.Ash Wednesday

Ashes to Go: Stop by Wednesday morning on your way out for the day. Our pastors will be available for a blessing and a prayer for your lenten journey right outside our front door from 9:00-10:30.

Ash Wednesday Evening Worship: Gather with us at 7:00 for a community service of reflection, music and blessing.

Wednesday Night Communion, Book Study and Soup Supper

Join us on Wednesday evenings throughout Lent, March 1 – April 5 for Communion and Lenten Study with a simple soup supper. Each week will open with communion at 6:30, the table is open to anyone regardless of whether or not they stay for the study. Following communion, we will explore the final words of Jesus from the cross using Seven Words by Susan Robb. Through this study we will envision Christ’s hope for the world and for all of us. Order a copy of the book and sign up to help provide soup, bread or cookies.

Come and See Worship Series

Follow the Gospel of John as we prepare our hearts and minds for Easter. Each week we will come together and see the amazing moments of Jesus’ ministry as he journeys to the cross.

Lenton Devotional Series

This year we have three suggested devotional resources for Lent. Many people think of fasting or abstaining from a practice during Lent, but it is also a good time to add something that helps grow your faith. Each of these devotionals are meant to be used between Ash Wednesday and Easter. The first two are available online, but all three will be available on the Welcome Table to preview or pick up a copy.
