When our neighbor church Epiphany United Methodist in Vienna closed a few years ago, we were blessed that some of their members joined Andrew Chapel and brought with them designated funds to be used for missions. The missions committee recently decided to use these funds to start a scholarship to benefit a Northern Virginia Community College student in need. Currently, the annual tuition at NOVA is around $5,000. It is our goal to establish an endowment of $25,000 to fund an ongoing scholarship to be used toward tuition or supplies. The missions committee has allotted $13,000 from Epiphany’s gift, and is looking to raise an additional $12,000 to make the scholarship continuous.
