Orrison Hall gets a fresh coat of paint!!
Following John’s summer sermon series theme “The Dirty Dozen”, the power of small groups empowered to make positive change was on full display June 23rd in Orrison Hall. The daunting challenge of painting and fixing up Orrison Hall was accomplished by a small but enthusiastic group. The 1st Project of the Step Up Campaign provided a significant face lift to the main meeting hall for Andrew Chapel. We were able to:
- repair the walls,
- give them a good coat of off white paint,
- reinforce and repair the dividers, and
- rewire the lights to lower the utility bills.
The cast of painters and workers even found time for a barbeque lunch of hot dogs and hamburgers at the outside worship area. This was topped off with warm chocolate chip and raisin oatmeal cookies. You can’t have a Methodist meeting without food. Come see the improvements next time you are at the church. Thank you to all who generously gave of your time and talents.
Please remember to support the Step Up Campaign by adopting a mission and a capital project so we can do God’s work for our members, in our community and in the world. It all starts with you making a choice to make a difference with your time, talents and treasures.
