Kenneth Wyatt's "The Apostles" Given by Don & Ann Ellison

A print of "The Apostles" by artist Kenneth Wyatt was presented to Andrew Chapel by Don and Ann Ellison as part of our summer sermon series on the apostles, and in honor of their 61st wedding anniversary.

The print is a composit of paintings of each of the twelve apostles, plus Jesus and Paul. Wyatt is known for his western and religious art. A retired United Methodist pastor, Wyatt says he took as his models people from all walks and stations of life... much as Jesus himself did.

The print hangs in the narthex directly opposite the sanctuary doors. On the table below it is a book explaining how the artist chose his models, and what he was trying to portray in each painting.
