November and December have been a busy time for our mission work. We gathered and delivered Thanksgiving meals; collected warm coats, hats & gloves for Cornerstones; provided gifts for Rising Hope Mission Church; provided food for families in need in our ongoing biweekly food deliveries at Cunningham Park; and provided an abundance of toys for hospitalized children through the Fairfax County Police toy drive, Santa’s Ride. Through it all, we felt uplifted and encouraged to bring necessities and joy to God’s people.
Yet even more importantly, we are witnessing evidence of the Holy Spirit at work: total strangers are arriving at our church with food and clothing, because they’ve heard that we were doing good work for others in the community! Our Lord is good and always at work, inspiring people to care for His people! Let us never forget for whom we serve, and may that knowledge enhance your life and bring you a truly Merry Christmas!

A Reminder of Why This is Important
In the third week of Advent, our church received one of the most wonderful Christmas Cards! It was from a family who faces serious food insecurities during the pandemic. This is what was written inside: “Thank you for supporting my family and many other families in this difficult time. God bless you all.” Praise God!
